"Tony" 91, passed peacefully on May 18th. He was the husband of the late Lorraine (Lambert) Bucci.
Born in Berkley Village, Cumberland, he was a son of the late Antonio and Louise Marie(Archiolli) Bucci.
He had been employed as a dynamiter by Forte Brothers Construction for over 40 years before retiring. He was a founding member of the Cumberland-Lincoln Girls Boys Club, and a coach for the "Red Sox" Little League. He was a Staff Sargent for the Army Air Corps 9th Air Force, 52nd Troop Carrier Squadron during WWII. Tony was known as the "Godfather" of Forecourt.
He is survived by a daughter; Dawn Skorupa and her husband Donald, of Cumberland, two sons, Dereck Bucci of Cumberland and Tony Bucci, all of Cumberland, four grandchildren, David and Dana Skorupa, Anthony and Lee Bucci. He was the father of the late David Bucci and brother of the late Anne Gouin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday in St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd, Cumberland at 10am followed by Military Honors. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Cumberland/Lincoln Boys and Girls Club.
